Sand Dollars and Kindness

Sand dollars mean kindness to me, as I found one that was left by an unknown person next to my potted begonias. I live in a large apartment complex, so this act surprised me.  Recently I had returned from a trip to see my family and had discovered that my last remaining parent was rapidly declining.  The sand dollar welcomed me back home and gave me some solace. This random stranger was also kind enough to decorate other places  around the complex besides mine with sand dollars.  This is how we  humans could treat ourselves and each other every day if we choose to do so.  Thank you, whoever you are!

“When we  feel love and kindness towards others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also develop inner happiness and peace.”                                                                                                     Dalai Lama
